It’s been more than five years since I last did several-week-long business trips to Silicon Valley. For the first weekend after I arrived, I took colleagues visiting from India for a drive along Highway 1 to Point Reyes National Seashore.

Tips of San Francisco buildings stood above the fog.

The lagoon next to Highway 1 before we reached the road leading to Point Reyes.

The fences separated due to the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.

Dry meadow during north California’s dry seasons.

Marsh at the southern side of Point Reyes.

Glimpse of the rough ocean through the opening of the fog.

The electric SUV used by state park rangers.

Walking down the foggy stairway...

...to reach the even foggier light house.

Some people braved the foggy and windy weather to have a picnic on the South Beach of Point Reyes.

A few people took a walk on the Drake Beach of Point Reyes.

The clear blue sky at the inland side of the peninsula was a stark contrast to the seashores.
