I used to use Fukuoka as gateway to the Chugoku region of Honshu and to Kyushu of Japan, but never actually visited this city. So I decided to stop at Fukuoka for my latest trip to Japan, although it was not until late afternoon of the second day that I actually stepped outside the train station.

I arrived Fukuoka Airport at noon time, then I transferred to Kyushu Shinkansen to visit Kumamoto city at central Kyushu. In the evening, I returned to Fukuoka Airport to fly with the first Japanese low cost carrier, Peach Aviation.
