Since EVA Air started their Hello Kitty special livery jet on October 2005, friends have been experiencing this flying Hello Kitty theme park on their travels to Japan. Every one of them took lots of photos onboard, and some of them even sneaked some souvenirs off the plane....

I had my chance to fly with the Hello Kitty jet on my return flight of this Japan trip, and here are the photos I took:

This was taken at terminal D of Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, before I boarded my flight to Tokyo. The plane in the front is the Hello Kitty jet version 1, and the plane in the back is the Hello Kitty jet version 2 starting service since last October.

This was also taken at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, when the Kitty jet ver. 1 was on its way to runway.

This was taken at Tokyo Narita International Airport. The LCD monitor above the boarding counter told passengers they were checking-in to the Kitty jet.

This pink boarding pass is exclusive to Hello Kitty jet.

The signs indicating boarding classes at the gate also had Hello Kitty on them.

The Hello Kitty jet version 1 we were about to board was loading baggage.

Headrest on seats of economy class were decorated with Kitty.

The welcoming video played on personal LCD screens was not the orchestra program seen on normal EVA flights. It was special Kitty animations backed by Kitty theme music.

The wet towels flight attendances given us when we got seated.

The meal on the Kitty jet had pink noodles, Kitty cake, and Kitty paper towel. Even the sausages had Kitty printed on them.

The Kitty packaged snacks flight attendances gave us before the plane started descending.

Even the maintenance bottles in the toilet had Kitty printed on them.

Not seen in these photos, but the aprons wore by flight attendances also are pink, with Hello Kitty on the center of them.

Of course there are many exclusive Hello Kitty merchandises sold onboard, but these merchandises can be bought at regular EVA flights as well....
