We went to most of the attractions in the Sitou National Forest Recreation Area today.

The Youth Center was exactly the same as we remembered from our last visit 15 years ago.

But the cabins had all been new rebuilt.

View of nearby mountains from the trail.

This giant stone moved to its current location after the 921 earthquake and became one of the latest attractions in Sitou.

Fences were built around the giant cypress now. We could actually touch the tree the last time I visited Sitou.

People taking breaks after hiking to the giant cypress.

The skywalk passed through the woods...

...and offered visitors a different view of the forests from above the trees.

This trail was paved with sawdust.

New sawdust offered a fresh smell of woods.

The landmark bamboo suspension bridge of Sitou.

The bridge was name from the first two words from Laozi’s Daodejing, which are homonymy to university in Chinese and local students always joked one would be ensured to go to universities after crossed this bridge.
