I was leaving Japan today but my friends would stay for two more days, so we went separated ways today after biding good night and goodbye last evening. Before going to Tokyo International Airport, I visited two gardens formerly owned by Japanese nobles in the Shiodome neighborhood.

The 300-year-old cypress was planted by the sixth Tokugawa shogun.

The tea house and bridges on the Shiori Pond were under renovation.

The small pond that was dyed blue for some reasons.

The bridge connecting to the inlet was built to mimic the west lake of Hangzhou in China.

The stone pillars were originally gates of mansions.
