For my last day in Tokyo, I joined the Sumida River boat tour from Asakusa to Odaiba. My goad was the 1:1 model of the Mobile Suite Gundam that was erected at the Shiokaze park to promote the Green Tokyo environmental project. I then visited the Toyota’s exhibition center, Megaweb, before heading to the airport.

The tour boat was the Sci-Fi esque Himiko.

Himiko cruised below the Rainbow bridge that connected Odiba to the center of Tokyo.

The visitors at the feet of the Gundam provided perfect scales to demonstrate the size of the robot.

The logo on the left shoulder guard promoted Tokyo’s application to host the 2016 Olympics Games.

Simulators allowed visitors to experience the thrill of being a racing driver.

Toyota iQ was a microcar that was only available in the Japanese and European markets.

I drove a right-hand-driver car for the first time at the test circuit of Megaweb.
